Scouting offers challenge and adventure to 400,000 young people and 100,000 adults across the UK. We believe in helping our members fulfill potential by working in teams, learning by doing and thinking for themselves. We give people of every background the chance to strech themselves, learn new skills and make life long friends.
Our District covers a large area to the south and west of the City of Derby and surrounding villages with 11 Groups in the locations of Alvaston, Aston/Weston & Shardlow, Chellaston, Findern, Littleover, Normanton/Sunny Hill, Sinfin, Pear Tree & Shelton Lock/Allenton. In addition we also have 3 Explorer Units plus Young Leaders unit, and an active Scout Active Support unit. At present we have over 750 adult and youth members within the district.
